Frequently asked questions

Microblading Questions

What is  Microblading ?

Microblading is carried out by using a special manual hand-tool, which holds sterile disposable micro-blades. The pigment (color) is deposited into the epidermis very carefully with the Microblading hand-tool which allows the Ravish Specialist to create super fine crisp hair-strokes, compared to using digital needle cartridge configuration. The pigments are inserted closer to the surface, therefore the strokes appear natural and fine. The process can take anywhere from 2-3 hours depending on the clients current eyebrow condition on the first visit. You will have a second session 4 weeks after to touch-up to add more detail and any modifications you would like. We also offer Ravish Micro-Shading and Nano for an additional charge on your touch-up visit this will give the brows the most natural, full and ravishing look it is highly recommended.

How long does microblading last?

Powder Brows Questions

What are Powder Brows ?

Powder brows are a semi-permanent makeup technique used to enhance the appearance of eyebrows. Unlike microblading, which involves creating individual hair-like strokes, powder brows create a soft, powdered effect that resembles the look of eyebrow makeup, such as eyebrow powder or pencil.

During a powder brow procedure, pigment is implanted into the skin using a rotary machine or manual tool with a fine needle. The needle deposits the pigment in a series of small dots or dashes, gradually building up color and density across the brow area. The technique is called "powder" brows because the end result resembles the soft, diffused appearance of powdered makeup.

Powder brows are a popular choice for individuals who prefer a more filled-in, defined look for their eyebrows. The technique can help to create symmetry, add volume, and enhance the shape of the brows, making them appear fuller and more polished.

One of the advantages of powder brows is their versatility. The intensity of the color and density of the powder can be customized to suit each individual's preferences and facial features. Additionally, powder brows typically last longer than microblading, with results lasting anywhere from one to three years before requiring a touch-up.

Nano Brows Questions

What are Nano Brows ?

Nano brows refer to a type of cosmetic procedure aimed at enhancing the appearance of eyebrows through the use of a specialized tattooing technique. Unlike traditional eyebrow tattooing methods, which can sometimes result in a harsh or unnatural appearance, nano brows are designed to create a more realistic and finely detailed look.

In nano brow procedures, pigment is implanted into the skin using a very fine needle that is much smaller than those used in traditional tattooing. This allows for greater precision and control, enabling the technician to mimic the look of individual eyebrow hairs more accurately. The result is often a softer, more natural-looking brow that can help to frame the face and enhance overall facial aesthetics.

One of the key benefits of nano brows is their longevity, nano brows can last for several years before requiring touch-ups. Nano brows offer a semi-permanent solution for enhancing the shape, fullness, and definition of eyebrows, providing a long-lasting alternative to daily makeup application.

What is Alopecia?

Alopecia eyebrows refer to the loss of eyebrow hair due to a condition called alopecia areata. Alopecia areata is an autoimmune disease where the immune system mistakenly attacks hair follicles, leading to hair loss. When this condition affects the eyebrows, it results in sparse or completely absent eyebrow hair.

Individuals with alopecia eyebrows may experience patchy areas where the eyebrow hair is missing, or they may lose all eyebrow hair entirely.

What is a Touch-Up?

A touch-up is when you have previously received PMU services from Ravish Brows and you would like to refresh your look!
